How to properly ship characters:

  • Do not change their sexualities. If they are straight, then they are straight. Bending their sexualities is, in essence, changing who they are. You are depriving them of their own content and changing them into a character that’s not even who they really are.
  • Do not pick the most unlikely and most impossible characters to put together. Some people just won’t fit. Some people just don’t go hand in hand. Some people don’t even know each other. Just don’t do it.
  • Try and pick a ship that could be canon. You don’t want to go for something that isn’t even there or won’t ever come true. I mean, there are ways to like a special bond between characters that won’t get together, but that’s slightly different.
